Chris has been with Sol since the very early days when the founder’s home attic office served as Sol headquarters. Chris describes his role as Vice President, Energy as “taking the sting out of compliance programs,” from gently leading clients through the tough, early discussions, all the way through the celebratory conversations at the end. He relishes tackling the projects that are seemingly impossible – the historic, budget-strapped, highly ambitious, owner-involved, beautiful projects — and believes that the first rule of sustainability is that if it’s not fun, it’s not sustainable. That’s why he loves the people at Sol – they work hard, have a good attitude, and love to learn. He especially appreciates the high-quality relationships (and IPAs) he’s shared with the many colleagues who have become friends throughout the years. When not in the office or on a project site, you may find Chris trail running, enjoying long talks over coffee, perfecting a new smoothie recipe, hunting for Sasquatch, or hosting a poetry / trail running camp.
