Spring Green Townhomes Featured at AIA Cincinnati CRAN Award Highlights Program

AIA Cincinnati will host its Award Highlights program on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event offers an inside look at residential projects recognized through the CRANawards program and the design strategies that helped them succeed.

During the program, Sanyog Rathod, AIA, President and CEO of Sol design + consulting, will discuss Spring Green Townhomes, recipient of a Multi-Unit Housing award. Located in Cincinnati's historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, the project demonstrates how contemporary architecture can complement a historic urban context while supporting long-term sustainability goals.

Spring Green Townhomes were designed as "houses for life," incorporating features that allow the homes to adapt to changing needs over time. Flexible living spaces, aging-in-place considerations, planned elevator access, and adaptable room configurations help create homes that can evolve with their occupants

Sanyog's presentation will explore the design process behind the project and the strategies used to achieve Passive House principles. Attendees will learn how high-performance building enclosure design, continuous insulation, thermal bridge reduction, airtight construction, balanced energy recovery ventilation, and efficient mechanical systems contribute to occupant comfort, durability, and energy performance

The project also reflects Sol design + consulting's expertise in sustainable design and green building certification. Spring Green Townhomes were designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification while advancing high-performance residential construction in an urban infill setting

The program is open to architects, designers, builders, and anyone interested in residential design excellence. Registration is available through AIA Cincinnati.
