Spring Green Townhomes Wins AIA Cincinnati 2026 CRANaward

On April 30, 2026, Spring Green Townhomes, received a CRAN Award from AIA Cincinnati in the multi-unit housing category. The award recognizes projects that advance residential design through thoughtful, high-quality housing solutions.

Located in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, Spring Green Townhomes demonstrates how new infill housing can respect historic context while introducing a contemporary design approach. The project strengthens the surrounding urban fabric and supports long-term neighborhood resilience.

Designed by Sol design + consulting, the homes achieve LEED Platinum certification and are built to near Passive House standards. They are fully electric and Net Zero Ready, reducing operational carbon while improving comfort, durability, and energy performance.

The project also emphasizes long-term livability. Flexible layouts and durable materials support residents across all stages of life, reinforcing the idea that high-performance housing can also be adaptable and accessible.

Importantly, Spring Green Townhomes shows that this level of performance is achievable in market-rate speculative housing, helping expand what is possible in everyday residential development.

The project team includes:
Construction Management: Late Stan Kummer – Honey Done LLC
Financing: Stockyard Bank
General Contractor: Model Group
HVAC Contractor: Ideal Comfort
Plumbing Contractor: Klosterman Plumbing
Electrical Contractor: Quinn Electric
Foundation: Day Precision
Flooring: Axis Interior Systems
Drywall Finishing: Turcios Brothers

Sol design + consulting thanks the entire team for their collaboration in bringing this project to life.
