As a Project Coordinator at Sol, María supports projects pursuing LEED for Homes and LEED BD+C certifications. She is also a key member of Sol’s architectural design team, contributing to projects aimed at achieving Passive House certification. María holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering and a master's degree in Architecture from the University of the Andes. During her graduate studies, she explored vernacular construction techniques and habitat dynamics in rural Colombia, enriching her approach to sustainable design. Her interdisciplinary background brings a unique perspective that emphasizes organic design, holistic thinking, and innovative research to address environmental challenges and support climate adaptation. Outside of work, María enjoys spending time with family and friends and reconnecting with nature.
